The purpose of this department is to further inform and educate the importance of preserving our natural resources.
Projects include: Boo at the Zoo, Recycling of cans and newspapers, and solid waste management issues.
EDUCATION
Increase awareness of issues including literacy, learning disabilities and the importance in the communities.
Projects include: FFWC State Mentoring Project, collecting of Campbell soup labels and General Mills box tops, Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Foundation (HOBY).
HOME LIFE
Emphasis on issues that impact family economics, substance abuse, and health issues.
Projects include: Race for the Cure, Locks of Love, Hacienda Girls Ranch, Canine Companions and Special Olympics.
PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Promote awareness of public issues such as crime prevention, victim rights, and safety.
Projects include: Veterans Hospital donations, domestic assault shelter, donation of cell phones to local law enforcement office, children in crisis, support military troops.
INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
Promote understanding amongst various international cultures.
Projects include: UNICEF, CARE, Operation Smile, Adopt a Classroom at the Hispanic Human Resources Council, baby bundles for migrants, HEIFER International.
